Top Chef Masters is Better Than I Thought

As much as I love food, Bravo and Top Chef, there was apart of me that was skeptical of Top Chef Masters. The contestants are already established chefs, so what’s the point? But in the first few minutes, it occurred to me that because they don’t have anything to prove (or lose), they are competing out of sheer passion. That means there’s going to be some GOOD food. In addition chefs get to challenge themselves in a way that regular contestants can’t without fear of being eliminated.

The first episode suprised me since one chef tanked on the dessert quickfire challenge, and another chef accidently put his produce in the freezer instead of the cooler. The chefs pulled some shift out of their hats making gourmet meals in a college dorm room. The winner of the competition Hubert Keller won the first challenge and will come back to compete in the finals.
