Would You Diss Your Friend for Having an Affair?

If you’ve been keeping up with Army Wives, you know that last season Frank and Denise agreed a separation. Denise seemed to be at a crossroads about who she was and what she wanted to be. While she and Frank were separated, she went out of her marriage and slept with a patient.

This season, Denise’s lover dumps her for his ex, she loses her job, and her husband is cuckolded. What right do her friends have to disown her? Roland has come to her rescue, and granted Claudia Joy has her own issues, but I find it surprising that her friends are so unsympathetic. She didn’t cheat on them, but they are taking the moral high road.

Here’s my position: if my friend had an affair with a man while she was separated, I would want to know what was going through her mind to make her do something like that. I would think that she lost her job and she has to answer to her husband, who am I to pass judgement. I’m not talking about a friend with a pattern of infidelity, but someone who’s made a mistake. I think her friends are being selfish and hypocritical.
