Top Chef Snafu

Can you believe that I haven’t watched the premiere of Top Chef?! I’m embarrased to admit it, but what can I say, I’ve gotten a night job. I’m up all early to finally watch it and it’s not in my DVR. Or my Tivo. Instead of offering my long-awaited opinions on the show, I can offer a recipe of a tomato-and-peach salad I tried last week:


  • 2 Large tomatoes, cut in wedges
  • 4 Large peaches, pitted and cut up
  • 1/4 cup Red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • Ground pepper to taste

  • In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, peaches and onions.
  • Mix vinegar and olive oil and toss with tomato peach mixture.
  • Season with freshly ground pepper.
  • Cover and set aside, at room temperature, for one hour.
