Congratulations to Meghan and Cheyne

Meghan and Cheyne completed the Amazing Race. The two brothers, Sam and Dan came in second, Ericka and Dawn came in third, not to be confused with Ericka and Brian who came in fourth place. Yes, one million dollars is a lot to miss out on, but it wasn’t the money — it was finishing third in a race that you’ve run for 13 weeks. What’s the point of running if you don’t plan to win? We were so relieved to be in Vegas because both of us have been to the city and — finally, we can speak English again. As romantic as I think foreign languages are, my body was tired, my mind was tired and I needed a break. Until we got off the plane, then I got this crazy rush of adrenaline that I was sure nobody had but me. I think that secretly, Dawn wanted me to burn off some of that energy which is why she was cool with me scaling the MGM Grand. I was excited because she’s got the piercings and the tatoos, this is my turn to live on the edge. When I came down that wall, we were in second. It was that Cirque du Soliel challenged that f—- us up.

Dawn is lighter than me, and I have more upper body strength, so it makes sense that I would throw her in the air. However, I have no sense of direction, so it took me a long time to get a feel for it. Just like Brian and Ericka, we watched Dan and Sam, and Cheyne and Meghan come and go. But then Ericka started spazzing out (not me, Brian’s Ericka), so I had to work that much harder to keep in together. When they were switching for the second time, Dawn finally caught the bouquet, but by then it was too late.

This is the point where I would get all emotional, and talk about how great my sister is, but the truth is, I knew that coming in. That’s why I picked her to run the race. Anything I say here is going to sound sappy, so I’m just going to stop here.
